Category: Military
Size: Encircling Phanes Bay, Following the Highways
Condition: Constantly Under Construction
Inhabitants: Military Patrols, Interlopers
Description The City of Phanes is a reclusive one. Cut off from the outside world both by choice and due to their morally questionable practice of kidnapping fertile humans from other settlements to bolster their own number of child-capable members.
The Stone Wall of Phanes represents decades of hard work and conflict, each stone positioned by hand or by makeshift mechanism to form a border wall that is tall enough to see over the rooftops of the abandoned suburban neighbourhoods at Green Bay’s fringes. Typically manned by a full garrison of around 400 Barren soldiers, the top of the wall is equipped with a combination of Phanes Crossbows, Phanes Siege Crossbows, and the occasional refurbished rifle. These have, in the past been capable of dissuading and quickly dispatching any outsider foolish enough to come too close to the wall.
The wall is built out of the collected stone of the Penance Mines, as well as chunks of concrete foraged from some of the more derelict abandoned buildings and is built along the lines of the Highways that circle the city. The reason for this is twofold: the flat building surface and occasional highway overpass make for easily fortified and reinforced structures, and the roads themselves serve as a quick way for the military to transport additional reserve troops to the wall wherever it finds itself under attack.
